We hired Wolf Tours to coordinate a 4 day, 3 night exploration of the Santander region. They planned an excellent experience for us, including a city tour in Bucaramanga, paragliding, coffee plantation tour, Juan Curi waterfall, Chicamocha canyon, old town in Giron, open air market, caves near Paramo and the beautiful town of Baricharra. Wow, now that I summarize this, I realize we did a lot!

The Wolf Tour Bucaramanga was very enjoyable and informative. The Wolf Tour team consisted of Sebastian, Julian and Tatiana. Each team member devoted their full attention to educating me on the diverse history of Bucaramanga and Colombia, as well as answering my many questions. Their advice was very detailed and respectful. The team communicated well in English and taught me some key words and phrases in Spanish. I learned about the best hot coffee and the authentic food and culture of Bucaramanga. The team took me to many sites in downtown Bucaramanga, Girón and the infamous male statue on top of the mountain. Wolf tours arranged for me to visit the Proaves Reinita Cielo Azul bird reserve, which was about 4 hours from Bucaramanga. My driver, Hugo, drove me and arranged all the transfers, including a much needed Hilux to get up the last stretch. The reserve is absolutely stunning and the bird guide, Carlos, is very knowledgeable and knows all the birds by song (he uses Merlin to avoid language barriers). The accommodation was simple but clean and well maintained. But the density and variety of birds was incredible. I would return without hesitation. The whole trip was a pleasure.
